If you were born today, which country would provide you the best opportunity to live a healthy, safe and mobile life? According to Newsweek magazine, that would be Finland. In its recent study where one hundred countries were compared based on education, health, quality of life, political environment and economic competitiveness, Finland was ranked as the “Best Overall" country. President Halonen to chair a UN panel

President of Finland Tarja Halonen has been appointed co-chair of the UN High-level Panel on Global Sustainability. The Panel has been established by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. President Halonen will act as chair together with President Jacob Zuma of South Africa. Read more
