A Light Festival with artists from the Nordic countries in the heart of London’s Soho, invites you to become part of something extraordinary. The festival will last from the 13-28 January 2018, and will take place at a variety of venues reflecting the cultural ecology of the most creative square mile in the world.
Nordic artists are often driven y the medium of light. Being so far north of the equator, they spend half the year in what feels like almost perpetual night - leading to a heightened sensitivity to this intangible material. The illuminating artworks will interplay with the selected venues, employing innovative interpretations of different applications of light - via the media of video, light architecture, design and performance.
Thirteen contemporary light artists from the Nordic countries will reinterpret six venues across the Soho district, creating mesmerising installations with unique visual dialogues under the unifying power of light.
