Finnish presidential election 2018 in Britain – 3167 voters at the advance voting in the first round

The advance voting for the first round of the Finnish presidential election of 2018 in Britain was organised between 17th to 20th of January. There were in total 3167 voters in the UK, of which 2042 voted at the Finnish Embassy in London.

If a second round is organised, the advance voting period in Britain will be from 31 January to 3 February 2018.

The advance voting for the first round of the Finnish presidential election of 2018 in Britain was organised between 17th to 20th of January. The polling station at the embassy in London was open from Wednesday to Saturday. The other seven polling stations around the UK were only open on Saturday, 20th January.

In Britain there were in total 3167 voters, of which 2042 voted at the Finnish Embassy in London. The busiest day was again Saturday. Even during the peak hours the voting went smoothly. Many thanks to all the voters and staff at the polling stations! ;

The presidential election will be held in Finland on Sunday 28 January 2018. You can read more about the election and results here.

Possible second round – advance voting in Britain 31/1–3/2

If one of the candidates receives over half of the votes cast in the first round, he or she is elected President of the Republic. If this does not happen, a second round will be organised between the two candidates who received the most votes in the first round.

If a second round is organised, the advance voting period in Britain will be from 31 January to 3 February 2018.
